PHOTOS 4 GOOD DONATION PROGRAM

Professional photographers, amateurs, and legal copywrite holders are all welcome to participate in the High Alert Institute Nature Photo Donation Program. Sales of the images benefit the Institute and donors are eligible for tax deductions equivalent to the fair market value of their photos. Landscapes, seascapes, animals, flowers – all may be accepted – whether new or vintage images. People may be included in the photo but only if unidentifiable (i.e., blurred figures at a distance).

To participate in the Photos4Good digital image donation program you must:

• Sign-Up/Login to your Unlimited Access Institute membership
• Upload digital images as JPEG files using the upload tool below
• Ensure image files meet format, size, dimensions, and color profile requirements
• Provide the information requested regarding the uploaded images
In exchange for your images and the assignment of copyright for the images to the High Alert Institute, the Institute will provide you with a receipt for the total number of images donated each calendar year. This receipt is sent to you by email as a pdf in the first quarter of the year following the donation. i.e. Your receipt for photo donations in 2022 will be received in Q1-2023.
File Format, Size, Dimensions and Color Profile
• All images must be in JPEG format only.
• All images must be at least 4 MP (megapixels) or larger and set at highest quality settings to produce an acceptable file dimension.
• The maximum file size you can upload is 50 MB.
• Megapixels (MP) are different from megabytes (MB), as they refer to the dimensions and not the file size. To calculate your megapixels, multiply the X (width) by the Y (height) of your image or artwork. For example:

o 2000 x 2400 pixels = 4.8 Megapixels. A file of this size is acceptable.
o 1200 x 3000 pixels = 3.6 Megapixels. This is smaller than our minimum size requirement, and this file will not be accepted by our system.

• Images should be uploaded in sRGB since most images on the Internet are displayed in that profile. We strongly recommend converting your images to sRGB before uploading them. If you submit images in a different color profile, the colors will likely be altered during conversion to sRGB and may be rejected by our system.
